How wrinkle treatment works
Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily relax the small muscles that crease the skin when you frown, squint or raise your eyebrows. As those muscles soften, the overlying lines smooth out and are prevented from deepening.
The treatment addresses dynamic lines — those caused by movement. Static lines that are visible at rest are usually better treated with dermal filler, and the two are often combined.
